I have been looking for lamps JUST like this for my foyer! Where can I get them?

Wow! Loving all the positive vibes. Thank you all! The pendant is actually original to the house, which is a historic home downtown Charleston on the Battery. There are many lines that carry this type of pendant, Angie. We would love to help you find something similar if you are still looking. romanj, this is an interior light only, and antique for the home, but there are many local lines from Charleston like Charleston Lanterns that have similar lights in many finishes. Carolyn, the rug is an antique one-of-a-kind find from a rug company in Atlanta called Persian Galleries. The lamps were a one-of-a-kind find made from architectural elements...are those cool? We would love to help you both find something similar in your price point. there are a few lines like Arteriors Home and Currey & Company who carry items that have the same substance to them.

    Hi Robin,

Not at all! My response or design direction would be the same as before and not be altered by your classic architectural features. The space sounds beautiful! The trim is still an important design element which is set to highlight and stand out a bit, its equally an important architectural feature as the brick The ceiling would either be specified as 50% of the wall color or white. If you feel you need additional design direction, we would suggest hiring an ASID design professional such as Haute Design or one within your area for further assistance with paint selections. These are the things designers are experts in providing feedback to clients such as yourself. Good luck with your home project and thank you for your inquiry.

Thanks again, so much for your help. Yes, I have been thinking that I will hire a designer to come in and comment (or change) on my final paint selections and how to make them transition from room to room. Luckily we have many great ones to choose from in Houston!

I love this look/the lamps, but I can't see where the plug in is in this pic. or any other similar pic.
  • PRO
    Haute Design

Good observation! The lamps are not plugged in for this picture. They are wrapped up and secured behind the console for the picture. If wires bother you, you can have an electrician add receptacle outlet at the height behind your console, or secure the wires and extension cords to the console, which we did following the photo shoot. This is a historic house so we couldn't add permanent receptacles on this project. Thank you for your comment and inquiry!

I believe that was from the client's own collection, but I'm fairly certain it is a Felice Sharp. Her stuff is always breathtaking. http://www.felicesharpart.com/

This is a historic home in downtown Charleston on the Battery. They loved their dramatic entrances in the South. This corridor width is around 8' wide. Thank you for the compliment. We loved this project too!

Hi there! The cords are taped up behind the console for the photo shoot. Should you want to hide them permanently than yes, you can have an electrician install them high up to be hidden by the console. It really is a personal preference. Hope this helps! Thank you for your inquiry! Have a great night.

If you’re a little nervous about using a colored lampshade, black is only a “shade” more daring than white. But notice how the black shades make all the difference in this handsome entry hall. White would have worked, but black adds extra richness, weight and a little glamour.

cninteriors

Three perfect pieces. My favorite entry trio is a fabulous rug, a perfectly scaled console and great lighting. I suggest getting the best rug you can afford for your entry, because nothing warms up a home like a rug. Go bold with lighting and take advantage of three-way lightbulbs for light control during the day and evening.

Thi style table has nice weight to it and doesn’t feel skimpy. It is also not too deep and picks up on the design of the Media Console
