Ok I have an answer, the wood is "poplar" a common wood for cabinets that get painted. The lattice was ordered by the homeowner but I saw some on Outwater Plastics Industries website recently or search the net for lattice cabinet inserts, the lattice was then painted with the cabinet doors.
