Are those tan windows on the

Windows are by Loewen - wood with aluminum cladding. Colors are 'Clay' in the white and horizontal wood portions, and 'Cranberry' in the vertical wood.

We've had good luck with the OSMO Hardwax Oil satin floor finish on countertops. It's what's on the salvaged bowling alley dining room table pictured in this project.

Can you tell me about the wood siding? Is it tongue and groove? What kind of stain did you use?

What color stain did you use? Love the contrast with the linen white. Beautiful

Front door is an aluminum clad wood door by Loewen Windows and Doors; the color is what they call 'Harvest Cranberry', #010. Interior is clear finished Douglas fir.

Super cool indeed … it is a ventilated cavity created by 2x4s, which extend to support the overhang. The standing seam metal roofing is AEP-Span's DesignSpan, Zincalume finish. The underside of the roofing creates the underside of the eaves; we use zincalume because it has the same finish top and bottom.

The roof is a AEP Span standing seam, with a "Zincalume" finish.

Tilt replaced the old western wing of the house, which had a small, cramped kitchen and dining room surrounded by unused storage rooms, and added a new structure with a larger kitchen. She used the old storage rooms to create one large dining room that opens to the gardens. Asbestos siding was removed and replaced with painted Hardie board on the main house and V-groove cedar siding in different widths on the addition. The red bay window extends out to accommodate a large Japanese-style bathtub. A ventilated “icehouse” metal roof with eaves and window shades helps keep the house cool. White paint color: Plateau, Ralph Lauren

A little too much going on, but like the color variation of wood and white.
