It's a knockoff of an Eames Management Chair - probably from China.

The real ones from Herman Miller don't have that massive plastic tilt knob/mechanism under the seat.

Thank you very much.

Vanessa Brunner added this to Idea of the Week: Tiny Office Above the Stairs
This little desk nook is located right over a set of stairs leading to the basement. JCS Renovation had removed a wall in what was originally the dining room and found this space just sitting there, so they made use of it. The tiny workspace "reminds me of a tree fort, or a hideaway that we all had as kids," says Stratichuk.

I like that this office is elevated. I can use it for our bedroom / office. :)
