    The only time a kitchen (under mount) sink would be lighter is if the gauge of the metal is not comparable. For example the Blanco mentioned above is an 18 gauge sink which is lighter/thinner than the VIGO 16 gauge sink mentioned. Here is something to remember when comparing undermount kitchen sinks: The lower the gauge, the thicker the material, therefore, the heavier the sink will be. So in this case, no, the VIGO is actually heavier/thicker than the Blanco mentioned above based on the gauge. I hope this helps!

    Another thing with weights could be a shipping carton weight vs a product weight, and weight of undercoatings, etc...
