These homeowners were ready to update the home they had built when their girls were young. This was not a full gut remodel. The perimeter cabinetry mostly stayed but got new doors and height added at the top. The island and tall wood stained cabinet to the left of the sink are new and custom built and I hand-drew the design of the new range hood. The beautiful reeded detail came from our idea to add this special element to the new island and cabinetry. Bringing it over to the hood just tied everything together. We were so in love with this stunning Quartzite we chose for the countertops we wanted to feature it further in a custom apron-front sink. We were in love with the look of Zellige tile and it seemed like the perfect space to use it in.

Whether you're preparing a Thanksgiving feast or grabbing breakfast on the go as you whirl out the door to work, having a highly functional kitchen requires an upfront attention to design detail that borders on fanatical. That's why Colorado Fine Woodworks' kitchen cabinet projects include an in-depth discussion about how you actually use your kitchen. Left-handed or right-handed? Doors or drawers? Concealing or revealing? We ask all the questions, listen to your answers, take our own measurements onsite, create 3D drawings, manage installation, and collaborate with you to ensure even the smallest elements are carefully considered. And, of course, we also make it beautiful, whether your tastes tend toward traditional or contemporary, incorporating influences from elegant to rustic to reclaimed.
Our work is:
- exclusively custom, built EXACTLY to the specifications of your kitchen
- designed to optimize every square inch, with no fillers or dead spaces
- crafted to highlight or hide any feature you wish - including your appliances
- thoughtfully and thoroughly plotted, from hinges to hardware

The owners of this home, purchased it from an architect, who converted an old factory, in downtown Jersey City, into a house. When the family grew, they needed to either move, or extend this house they love so much.
Being that this is a historical-preservation building, the front had to remain 'as is'.
Owners hired Fogarty Finger architects to redesign the home and Kuche+Cucina, for the kitchen, closets and the party kitchenette.
Pedini cabinets were chosen, for their sleek, minimal look, in both matte glass and matte lacquer, for different textures.
The work countertop, was done in durable quartz, while the island and the backsplash are real marble.

Originally built in 1989, this 4,100 SF Courtyard Villa and Guesthouse was in desperate need of some spring cleaning. Our team opened up the segmented home, cleared outdated materials and created an expansive indoor/outdoor living space. From the moment you walk through the double doors into the courtyard, there is a serene feeling from the pool featuring a waterfall looking through the house to the newly added rear patio with lush landscaping beyond.

Elegant Modern Kitchen with Natural Light and Minimalist Design
This sophisticated contemporary kitchen seamlessly blends modern design with natural warmth. Light oak cabinetry extends from floor to ceiling, offering ample concealed storage and a sleek, minimalist aesthetic. The integrated refrigerator and built-in appliances preserve the clean lines, while the quartz waterfall island anchors the space with a touch of luxury.
Modern Lighting and Casual Dining
Three contemporary pendant lights with black accents and glass detailing hang above the island, adding visual interest, modern style, and symmetry. The island also doubles as a casual dining area, featuring four caramel-colored leather barstools that enhance the warm neutral palette and complement the luxury kitchen design.
Cohesive Quartz Backsplash and Natural Light
A full-height quartz backsplash continues the stone from the countertops, creating a cohesive, high-end look. Natural light pours in from the large black-framed window, highlighting the soft textures and making the space feel open and airy. Sleek modern fixtures complete this refined, functional kitchen—ideal for both everyday living and entertainment.

This modern kitchen has statement lighting above the island with a dropped wood soffit with wood slats. The island has waterfall ends and most of the appliances are stainless steel. The refrigerator and freezer are paneled with a flush application. The counters, backsplash and hood are all quartzite.
