What Houzz contributors are saying:
Don’t say no to neon. People tend to overlook neon tones, such as highlighter-bright yellow, when choosing colors for their home, but don’t dismiss these high-impact hues too quickly. The secret to successfully incorporating them into your design is to use them sparingly and balance them with muted colors, which will result in a room that’s fresh, sophisticated, on trend and fun. I love this cool white, gray and zesty chartreuse setting — it’s hard to imagine the space without the touch of neon yellow-green, isn’t it?Womb Chair and Ottoman: Knoll
Here, the soft gray-blue, pop of yellow, painted white shelves and natural floorboards are a more clean and modern interpretation of this classic style.
What Houzzers are commenting on:
"Many opt for neutrals on walls, floors and large pieces of furniture with the intention of introducing color through accessories. But often, bright throw pillows and vases look out of place in a sea of gray, beige or greige. Combat blandness with a statement piece (in a statement color), like this CHAIR. You can always reupholster or swap out a single piece of furniture like this, should you tire of it. (But, I don't think you will)."
