where did you purchase the bar top brackets? - Did you have them made? I cannot find bartop brackets in this design, they all mount on the counter top. I prefer this method. Thanks, would really appreciate a lead for my client.

now that is definitely a trade secret!!

The glass is very heavy at 1/2" thick and resting on rubber disks on top of the brackets at the front end. If you look carefully at the backend of the glass, you may notice it is frosted, to hide the glue directly on the knee wall we built to act as a backsplash and also support the brackets!

We hired our favourite stainless steel company to template measure first the plywood clad structural post. They then returned to site with a custom fit wrap which was glued and screwed in place. Ridalco is great to work with. Speak with Richard off more information.

Is it relatively expensive compared to other cabinetry options? Beautiful!

This look is made in various materials and qualities, from laminate veneers to actual 1" thick bogwood as we used. Therefore costs range dramatically.

We used stainless for backsplash and columns, painted drywall to the right and the client purchased the cultured stone through the home builder directly.

If you went with this 1" thick bogwood, it would be approximately $20k all installed. However, a similar look can be achieved for much less using faux veneers and faux stainless laminates along with thinner glass and granite top materials etc...
