There is a website Fabric empire that sells burlap and it is inexpensive... 4.99 a yard plus you can get a swatch from them too. Good luck The good news is that burlap is not a huge investment!

Ronique & Co.
For execution, painters tape (the blue tape) is the your best friend. There are several techniques. One is to mask off the stripes that are all going to be the same color and then paint. Let dry - I suggest a day, then come back and mask off other stripes.

For stripes that are very similar in shade. I have painted the entire wall the lightest color, then came back a day later, and masked off the darker stripes. This helps camouflage any slight imperfections with your masking off. (No white walls will show from where you didn't lined up the tape - like the first technique).

The colors are “Fencepost” by Behr (Home Depot) and “Natural Choice” by Sherwin Williams.

You can find out how the stripes were done here:

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Becky Harris added this to Trends: Inspired by Burlap
Rough textured natural linen curtains recall the rougher burlap fabric.
The Shabby Nest added this to The Case for Striped Walls
Subtle color differences used in these horizontal stripes wrap a small room in a cozy cocoon.
Erika Ward - Erika Ward Interiors added this to Adding Farmhouse Charm to Your Home
On the farm, burlap is a humble, hardworking fabric. In the home, burlap exudes the same qualities, and adds a textural element into the space. It is also a cost-effective material for casual drapery panels.
Laura Gaskill added this to Decorate With Intention: A Nook of One's Own
You can create a minilounge indoors as well, by converting a nook or a closet into a getaway. White and warm sandy beige paired with rustic wood would make a soothing palette.
Rooms and Words added this to Ecofriendly Fabrics Make the Cut
The fun thing about linen and cotton is that they are so versatile and used for many different weaves. Some, like velvet, are delicate and elegant. Some give a more rustic vibe, like these burlap curtains that lend texture and depth to this nook.
