- I'm curious how well this type of wood exterior holds up after years in the Texas sun? I'd like to build this style in Arizona (Sedona), but just not sure how well this rustic wood exterior will do (not so much concerned about the beams and columns, but rather the siding)?
Our very low humidity, coupled with wide daily temperature swings are challenging for some species and finishes. Thinner materials such as siding may cup or split - especially economy grades - so they are better situated to locations with some solar protection.
Thank you for reaching out! While we do our best to retainas much information as possible for each project, unfortunately we do notalways have all the details regarding materials/furnishings/sources/costs/etc.Often, the builder or interior designer are a great source to provide morespecifics on these inquiries.
- Is that exterior stone full thickness, standard veneer or thin veneer? Thx
Thank you for your interest in our firm and our work! Thebuilder for this project was Tory Jones with Cavalcade Custom Homes. They might be able to help you with material specifics.
Ambiente, tranquilidade, fim de tarde
Patio beam work. Would use modern finished not reclaimed.
Forme, rusticité et contact avec l’extérieur.
This may be my all time favorite--but it cost $500/ft to build. This should give you an idea of the style we're shooting for.
