What's on the other side of the desk? how did you solve the height difference issue?

    Hello sandragabra,

Thank you for the question! The "desk" is actually an area which is intended to provide seating and a good view of the entertainment area to watch movies, TV, etc. The surface was built (with a little bit of storage to the left) for the kids to be able to eat snacks while they watch, but keep the treats and mess off of the carpeting and furniture in the sunken living area. The other side is just paneling, much like the left side where you step down into the living area.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you for your inquiry! This entertainment center was custom stained on site through the builder.

    suzhousida,

Thank you for the kind words! The builder, Stonewood, hired a custom cabinet-maker for these cabinets, and we unfortunately cannot divulge that information. However, you could take this photo into a cabinet maker in your area if you're interested in recreating this look.

    Thanks!

    suzhousida,

Yes, the wood floor was installed over a concrete subfloor. The stain was custom-mixed by a contractor on-site, so there is no specific color or brand we can give you.

    Thanks for the question!

I like the sitting table as a room divide.

if you can build in a few secret hiding spots in the place, that would be great
