This Altadena home is the perfect example of modern farmhouse flair. The powder room flaunts an elegant mirror over a strapping vanity; the butcher block in the kitchen lends warmth and texture; the living room is replete with stunning details like the candle style chandelier, the plaid area rug, and the coral accents; and the master bathroom’s floor is a gorgeous floor tile. Our Morgan Hill full-home remodel transformed this out-dated residence into a luxurious home surrounded by high quality materials. Hardwood flooring flows throughout the home, first entering the foyer you see a grand family room turned into a vinyl LP music room with abstract sound-buffering ceilings, warm gray walls and warm furnishings complete the room. Up the classic iron-and-wood railings and into the master bedroom you enter a spacious retrat, with a full master bathroom featuring dual sinks with under-sink LED lighting, a ceramic bathtub, and a glass-enclosed shower. Every detail of this Morgan Hill remodel, from the kitchen to the laundry room, bathrooms and living rooms, the entire house exudes perfection and luxury in Morgan Hill, California.

A sense of craft, texture and color mark this living room. Charred cedar surrounds the blackened steel fireplace. Together they anchor the living room which otherwise is open to the views beyond.

The stair is lit from above by the dormer. The landing at the top is open to the living room below.

Expanding the small victorian rooms into a large open Great Room transformed the compartmentalized house into to open family living. The renovation opened the roof to generate volume withini each space. Photographer: David O. Marlow

Ground up project featuring an aluminum storefront style window system that connects the interior and exterior spaces. Modern design incorporates integral color concrete floors, Boffi cabinets, two fireplaces with custom stainless steel flue covers. Other notable features include an outdoor pool, solar domestic hot water system and custom Honduran mahogany siding and front door.
