It's the natural effect of it being a concrete wall. It creates a really interesting texture!

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Becky Harris added this to Houzz Tours: Lucas's Loft in the Trees
This bar may look familiar, as a picture I took of a year ago is quite popular on Houzz! Lucas always takes care to light it up and switch out the floral arrangements.
Jonathan Baker added this to The Gentleman Cellar: Anti-Man Cave
Understated but pointed is key to a really tasteful space. Instead of having a full blown, over-the-top bar setup, I prefer to only display a few key elixirs. This butler tray works perfectly due to its small size and mobility.
Lily Gahagan added this to Flea Market Finds: Demijohns Around the Home
Or fill them with petite collectibles like matchbooks, plastic toys or anything else that's not too weighty.
Erin Lang Norris added this to Get Your Swizzle On: The Rustic Home Bar
Let's start with something anybody on a budget can obtain: a bar tray stocked with whatever you need. The nice wooden table provides a visual escape filled with warmth and relaxation, while the shiny chrome base keeps things lively and upbeat.Within this ideabook, I've tried to keep the theme consisting of items that are made of either wood or metal. It's an easy way to maintain a nice balance.
You & Yours Interiors added this to Creative Collector: Vintage Vessels
Saving and collecting interesting wine bottles to decant other things into is superstylish, affordable way to entertain at home. Plus I find gorgeous crystal lidded decanters on nearly every one of my vintage shopping excursions. Serving guests (and myself) booze from a decanter makes me feel like I'm Myrna Loy. And look — having a fully loaded bar is really this easy! Eucalyptus somehow seems key as well.
Becky Harris added this to Easy Makeover: Spirited Spruce-Up for a Bar Cart
This is one of the original bar shots. It's been featured in many articles here on Houzz, and Houzzers have added it to more than 1,500 personal ideabooks so far. This shot was taken about two years ago, when it was ready for its close-up. Since then, the bar had become cluttered and dusty and was in disarray, but because Miré saw it every day, he didn't notice.Butler tray and stand: West Elm

Claudia L. added this to Dies und Das
