The drapes were made by our local seamstress. They are 22' high cashmere panels. The tricky thing about functional drapes that tall is that you never know how much they may shrink or stretch. In this case, they were blocked on a 30' long table and were hand-sewn to fit the space within an 1/8'. Even so, they stretched between 3"-4" in the first couple of months and had to be completely re-hemmed on-site to insure a proper fit.

What a helpful response!! I would not have considered the issue of stretching -- I too have a room with 2 story windows that I'm trying to decide how to dress and that's an issue I'll definitely have to take into consideration!
