Manhattan Apartment inspired by the Federal Style Traditional Living Room, New York

The Living Room is inspired by the Federal style. The elaborate plaster ceiling was designed by Tom Felton and fabricated by Foster Reeve's Studio. Coffers and ornament are derived from the classic details interpreted at the time of the early American colonies. The mantle was also designed by Tom to continue the theme of the room. the wonderful peach color on the walls compliments the painting, rug and fabrics. Chris Cooper photographer.

Hi Didean, Unfortunately, I do not remember if this rug is recent or antique. The interior designer on this project would be able to tell you. Her company is Leslie Bryant Interior in NYC. Best, Tom

Hi Patti, the color is Benjamin Moore Somerset Peach 163. It has a wonderful warmth and goes so well with the blues, whites, and wood tones in this room. Sincerely, Tom.
