Manzanita
Landscape, Los Angeles
Manzanita (Arctostaphylos) can be low growing or tree like. Its hallmarks are mahogany colored bark and architectural branches, as well as delightful bell-like flowers that emerge in winter and last until early spring. It is "tough as nails," useful for erosion control, and its fruit is edible.
This is an example of a full sun landscaping in Los Angeles for winter. - Houzz
