Putting the bar ref in the blind corner was brilliant. Great kitchen all the way around.

Beautiful color contrast in this space. Love the timbers and the raised peninsula top seem to pull towards each other. Maybe that's just me? Lovely project Elizabeth!

Hi Andrew- The color is not diluted or mixed at all. It is straight up Stone Blue from Farrow & Ball.

Hi all, I've only used F & B paint on the last 3 house remodels here in the UK. The colours change dramatically depending on which way the walls face and how much light, (natural or artificial) you have. I've also found that due to the pigmentation in the paints any colour in the range works with any other colour. Always buy a test pot and paint the subject wall, not just a sample board, it will alter. for the record I have no connection with F & B, just a big fan.

This is a very traditional Martha's Vineyard cottage (i.e: small) that we worked very hard to make look and feel much larger than it is. Out of respect for my clients and their homes exact details of all of my projects, including this home, are private. Sorry.

Warm white will have just a hint of grey or beige, but no pink or yellow as one might expect from the term "warm white". Some good warm whites from Benjamin Moore are:
    Creamy White (OC-7)
    Ivory White (CC-925)
    White Down (OC-131)
    Elmira White (HC-84)
    Linen White (CC-912)
Some of these are warmer than others, and they will also look differently depending on what other colors are around them or what the lighting is like. I also happen to like Farrow & Ball Wimborne White #239 for cabinetry.

The Farrow & Ball Stone Blue paint on the kitchen cabinets is Satin finish.

I am sorry to say, I do not know who made the counter stools. They were provided by the homeowner.

Blue and the chakras. If you’re into yoga or meditation, you may have heard of the chakras; in some forms of Buddhism and Hinduism they’re considered centers of energy in the body. The chakras start at the base of the spine and go up to the crown of the head, with the lower chakras being more closely related to our physical bodies and the upper chakras more to our spirit. The throat chakra, which is the first of the spiritual chakras, is associated with blue, and the third-eye chakra, located between the eyes, is associated with indigo (a hue between blue and violet). The throat chakra represents communication and self-expression: speaking your truth and being seen and heard. The third-eye chakra represents our intuition, imagination and wisdom.

3. Beautiful Blue in Martha's VineyardSet on a lake on the northern coast of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, this kitchen has soothing blue cabinetry that struck a note with Houzz readers. A spacious back pantry, plenty of natural light and entertainment-friendly solutions make this kitchen great for cooking dinner for 10 or two.

Swartz and her team made sure this space felt clean and refreshing and supported the clients' laid-back lifestyle. A small fridge next to the bar stools stores beverages; its location next to the deck makes it convenient for stashing drinks before heading outside. "There's no such thing as unusable space," says Swartz. "We took full advantage of that dead corner." Cabinetry, shelving: Crown Point Cabinetry; cabinetry color: Farrow & Ball, Stone Blue; bar top: custom in cherry, Doyle Construction; bar stools: clients' own
