What is the stain color/brand of the wood mantle? It is really beautiful (that is the color I'd like to do my kitchen cabinets)

It was a finish done by my faux finisher on the homeowner's existing wood mantle. She concocted the recipe for that job, done over 5 years ago. Thanks for asking.

Where can I get this mantle ? The Dura Supreme website doesn't show this mantle. The closest dealer is over 120 miles away, I need Info and prices please.

All of our mantles are considered semi-custom or custom. You can mix and match the pieces with our mantle program. You can purchase our mantles from any Dura Supreme dealer like Carla Aston.

You can find your local Dura Dealer wit our locator tool:

Hi Coastroad, you seem very knowledgeable in this area so maybe you can help me too? :)

I have no fireplace but would like to add a gas fireplace and mantle to my large living room wall. I have seen them sold together in a "plug and play" type thing but a lot of them look a little cheap and too fake to me. Are there any nice ones that you could suggest? I prefer the "log" look with a traditional white mantle..

Hi Sara - I'd agree the the "plug and play" fireplaces generally do not look right.

We add fireplaces all the time. I'd really have to see the room to be able to make any good suggestions. You can either start a new discussion here on Houzz or send some photos directly to me at tom@coastroadonline.com.

Here are some fireplaces that we added where there wasn't one before:

This was painted and then a faux finish applied by a professional finisher. She mixes her little concoctions and I approve or we meddle with it a bit and on it goes. I don't know the formulas myself. My finisher was wonderul! Phyllis Palmer of Transformations by Phyllis.

So this is a paint not a stain.

Thank you so much. Will have to get something similar here in South Africa!

It's a paint with a custom overglaze. I'm sorry, my faux finisher mixed that and I don't have the recipe.

This was already present in the home. It was a whitewashed wood and we had it painted this dark color with a slight faux finish on it.
