The floor is almost completely covered in a black sisal, it was leftover from a clien'ts project......I think Pottery Barn sells black sisal if you're interested.

Just took your house tour and it's so inspiring! Could you please tell me the source of that awesome Indian print in your den? Thanks!

Isn't he just great? Chief Sitting Bear by Edward Curtis was bought at Ikea (of all places) about 5 years ago...Wish they still had them, and I had bought 20...People ask about him all the time.

Hi, are you using mini blinds for all your window treatments? Do they block enough sun for you? Do they offer privacy when you would like that? I'm on a budget and like what I can see of blinds. I've been debating of investing in interior shutters or if not natural bamboo shades but having the same paint color as you and seeing your fabulous place and loving the way it looks, now leaning your way. Thanks, need all the help I can get!

Hi Katie, I have those 2 inch mini blinds in white. Bamboo is beautiful, but doesn't offer much in keeping the room dark. I also have curtains that are just drop cloths from Home Depot that I close when it's tooo bright in the house....like that ever happens with khaki walls.

Hello, The dresser is actually 3 Ikea Malm dressers pushed together. If you open the photo it has resources listed. Sadly, the bed is from Rooms 2 Go, and they are out of business now. There are similar ones at Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn.

I get this question all the time, but somehow I can't find any of my old responses. The black and white striped sheets are old Lauren by Ralph Lauren...6-7 years old. The red and black Navajo pillow cases are VERY old Ralph Lauren, maybe 20 years old. Scored them on Ebay. The big khaki pillows are from Target. The khaki comforter is Ralph Lauren too. The red/black Navajo blanket is from Pendleton. Hope this helps.

It's Pendleton.....I'm a fanatic for them, we bought it in New Mexico last year.......pretty sure it's an older/unavailable style, but they have plenty more similar blankets. check out the website @ Pendleton.com

Internet speed. Internet connections tend to be slow in small mountain towns — if they’re even available — usually because there are a ton of people crammed in a small area trying to all get a connection. If you need to be online to check in with work or family, allow yourself extra time.

Western nods to cottage as well, as in this bedroom, with its layers of pillows and stacks of blankets.

8. Longhorns. The Texas longhorns are descended from the first cattle brought to America by Christopher Columbus. These cattle are often associated with the romance of the Old West and have become an iconic element of Texas culture. Get this look: These accents look great over fireplaces or as part of a gallery wall, and you can also find ceramic and papier-mâché versions. No luck finding something sculptural? Try a longhorn pillow or painted motif instead.More: Texas Design Corrals a Range of Styles

The accent-pillow love extends to the bedroom as well. "Every night we stack them in a corner," says Angus, who knows he has pillow issues. The dresser under the window is three Ikea Malm dressers put together. "I have a theory about Ikea," he says. "Everyone uses it, but it shouldn't look the same in everyone's house; you have to make it your own and personalize it." Wall color: Fawn, Martha Stewart for Home Depot; blanket: Pendleton; office chair: oak, Salvation Army

Down comforters and wool blankets. This eclectic-rustic bedroom invites you to dive right in, pull up the covers and hibernate, doesn't it? I love how the topper is rolled at the foot of the bed, adding more volume to an already plump display.See how to perfectly Make a Bed
