The fireplace had polished brown marble tiles and a drywall mantle before we gave it a new outfit. To add visual value (shiny) we added some glass tiles to the slate mosaic tile. It was a low cost detail that made all the difference! Add a rustic wood mantle to break up the enormous height of that blank wall and we're well on our way to fabulousness!
