    Yes, I believe it is honed grainte. Seldom used, because it's harder to keep clean from oils.

    I don't recall where the homeowner purchased them from. Sorry I couldn't help, but these, or something very similar should be carried by your local door hardware supplier. Not Home Depot/ Lowes. Ask them for something similar to a printers drawer pull. Good luck.

    No. The column is not structural. Structural columns were every other one. It was done more for aesthetics and rhythm. I didn't want a colonnade with a wide arch at the end.

    Actually, the base cabinets extend under the counter and are shortened 12" to make this work. Granite typically can't be left unsupported if it's greater than 12". It depends on the type of granite and what the installer recommends.

    That is custom distressed hickory with a custom tinted rubbed stain. The hickory is a nice choice but keep in mind it's loaded with grain and some knots. The owners wanted it like that.
