@tinymd-it depends a lot on what you are starting with (new build, makeover to existing already, framed box and hearth). Let me know and I'll try to give you a ballpark. Send a pic if you have one.

Fieldstone varies in color, where can I get this particular fieldstone? We like its dark color.

Can you tell me what stone was used as the hearthstone? Its different from the fieldstone. Thanks.

We just used something similar on our fireplace inside and used it on the house and fireplace outside. It was from Boulder Creek.

Can River Rock be installed over painted (interior) fireplace? Have you ever used "vaneer" rock?

@jennynichols- thanks for the question. In fact, the photo you see is a real fieldstone veneer. We enhanced it with a sealer to bring out more color. I have rocked over drywall with veneer And don't think you'd have a problem with it, but would be a good idea to ask an installer or someone at a local supplier.

Can you tell me the dimensions of the stone fireplace please?

That's a great look. It reminds me of river rock, but much less smooth.

I found this fieldstone at Brock White. I noticed that it varies in color. What's the name of this particular fieldstone?
