These are woven wood blinds and you can find them at many blind and shutter stores. Even big box home improvement stores carry some variety of this. The provide a bit of texture in the space. Lovely, neat, well made. Nice job!

      What Houzz contributors are saying:

Cathy Lara added this to Global Icons: The Apothecary ChestMay 7, 2012

Here's another example of how an apothecary chest adds to an overall theme. The distressed chest speaks the same warm and rustic-chic decor vocabulary as the natural fiber shades, earth-tone painting, hardwood floors and cowhide armchair.

Lisa Frederick added this to Design 2012: Not Your Grandma's AntiquesDec 22, 2011

The vintage file cabinet and cowhide chair both layer texture into this space. Thanks to the spareness of the décor and the chair's modern lines, the cabinet feels contemporary rather than cast-off.

Alison Aves added this to Houzz Tour: Sunny Update for a California BungalowNov 5, 2011

The vintage file cabinet is another relic from Kalmbach's store. "They love to mix uber-modern pieces with antiques, collected things from different places and from Scott's store," Triggs says. "All his stores were a mix of new and reclaimed. He would do modern custom furniture and mix it with a lot of reclaimed antique pieces. He started doing that way before it became popular."

      What Houzzers are commenting on:

Jil Young Designs added this to Cathy Howell - Color comparison of blindsOct 10, 2018

When they are using the darker color blind they are pulling other color in the room with it.
