MiwaContemporary Patio, Orlando

This contemporary home features clean lines and extensive details, a unique entrance of floating steps over moving water, attractive focal points, great flows of volumes and spaces, and incorporates large areas of indoor/outdoor living on both levels.

Taking aging in place into consideration, there are master suites on both levels, elevator, and garage entrance. The home’s great room and kitchen open to the lanai, summer kitchen, and garden via folding and pocketing glass doors and uses a retractable screen concealed in the lanai. When the screen is lowered, it holds up to 90% of the home’s conditioned air and keeps out insects. The 2nd floor master and exercise rooms open to balconies.

The challenge was to connect the main home to the existing guest house which was accomplished with a center garden and floating step walkway which mimics the main home’s entrance. The garden features a fountain, fire pit, pool, outdoor arbor dining area, and LED lighting under the floating steps.

We purchased it through Trinity Tile in Winter Park, Florida. I don't have a type listed in our records. I would suggest calling Trinity Tile and have them look at the photo. Hopefully they can point you in the right direction.

Is the limestone on the wall behind the bar as well or is that a different stone?

Very nice, love the patio's clean look. Can you tell me the name of the small ceiling mounted wall fans in the photo. I am looking for non-obtrusive similar looking units but functional. I have a cathedral ceiling in a master bedroom, with a narrow flat area that is to narrow to support a standard ceiling fan. These fans pictured would be perfect placed in various location in the room and the adjoining en suite. I have seen similar, but the room will be finished in tongue in grooved white ceilings, and half height on walls, with Brazilian cherry hardwood floors. the fans would provide great accent.

We purchased them through Lightstyle of Orlando, (407) 896-7252. Ask for Kathi or Patsy at Lightstyle and reference the lanai fans at Miwa.
