We sell sliding barn door hardware. We are located in Idaho but ship our tracks all over the place. Our hardware is very high quality. We offer a variety of styles and finishes. We also specialize in custom orders. If you have a particular color in mind we own a powder coating facility which makes color options almost endless. The wheels on our tracks are unbelievably quiet, eliminating the grinding sound you hear with other tracks that use metal wheels. We see every single one of our products through from start to finish! contact us at http://www.basincustom.com or email us at info@basincustom.com or call 208-261-1270

With this type of hardware, the track mounts above the doorway opening - typically in the header board, but also can be mounted to the wall studs. There are a variety of styles with different dimensions. We offer two trolley sizes depending on the height of the space and weight of the door.

Where can I get a door like this?

Have you tried contacting a local window and door company to see if they have anything similar to these? We provide hardware for the doors and when we sell locally we use our local window/door company. They are usually able to order in special doors for our customers. https://basincustom.com

I see that this question was posted in October. Have you decided on a door? We always recommend you have a header board to mount the hardware into. This can either be done inside the wall (if you are in the beginning of the building process now) or if the wall already there you can mount a header board above the doorway for the hardware to be mounted into. I think your husband would love the doors :) https://www.basincustom.com

I would do a muted canary yellow, or muted baby blue, or you could also do a dark grey, some dark contrast would make it modern

Not for walls but lime or burgundy accents area beautiful with grey.

We have a barn door track for the bottom of the door, but what most barn doors usually have are guides that are mounted to the floor or wall. These guides keep the door from swinging. We include one of these with our barn door hardware. See: http://rusticahardware.com/barn-door-hardware/

We use barn doors in the French door style up here in Napa Valley all the time. They are perfect for the casual Napa Valley style.

I love the double door option! Very nice.

A good door showroom will be able to help you plan this type of configuration for your home, complete with hardware!!

If you are in the Napa Valley, Marin or Healdsburg we would love to help out! We work all over the Bay Area!

The number of the panels is dependent on a few things.

The main item to consider is wall space on either side of the opening. If there is enough space on one side of the opening for the entire door panel to fit, then one panel is a viable option for you. Other options depending on the space would be two panels (one on each side or both on one side using a by-pass systems)

A second item to consider is personal preference / desired functionality. Once you have determined the spacing available, you can use the options available to suit your preference.

So a simple answer is no you do not, but if the space on each side of the opening is limited, you may be required to.

How much would you need? You could make a steel construction to support the countertop

                      9. Again, the sliding barn door hardware in this laundry room won over the crowd. The Whirlpool Duets stacked washer and dryer were also a big draw.
