Hi, Could you say the height of the cabinet in the photo at top, as well as how high from the floor the underside of the cabinet is? Thanks, it's lovely!

Judging from the height of the door handle which is standard around 34"/36", I would say that the cabinet top is about 30" from the floor with 10" under. The picture is deceiving because they used a wide angle lens. I find 30" to be far too low by today's standards and like my bath sinks closer to 36" tall or taller, depending on the user. The National Kitchen & Bath Association recommend - "The height of a lavatory or vanity top varies between 32"-43" to fit the user." Why double over to brush your teeth? ;)

Having been in fashion and home photography for many years, I think it is probably just a really low camera angle.
  • vestiano1
100% certain the camera has been Photoshop-ed out because the angle does not appear that low.

Most likely the front is longer than the drawer box itself to keep the geometry aligned. I'd say the drawer box (just the top one) isn't much wider than the end of the handle to allow for the sink in the cabinet.

It was a custom vanity in rift cut oak, drawers are shallower to allow for plumbing

Ron, do you make bamboo doors as well?

    Corl Design

    Hi Burlio,

Sure, I can make Bamboo doors. It comes in sheets, oriented a couple different ways and of course can be stained to any color from black to white or blue and red! You can email me directly to discuss specifics at ron@roncorldesign.com

    Cheers, Ron

Is there a standard procedure to install sconces on a vanity mirror? Does the mirror have to be custom made or a specific type? I know on most mirrors being that the most outer layer is clear and not reflective you will see the inside of the light fixture from the reflection in the mirror.

The counter and backsplash slabs are honed crema marfil marble.

Where can I find this cabinet? I have a space 54.5" in width and need to find something like this, can you help?

I think it's in the 20-24" range. Aren't floating cabinets great? And that shelf at the base of the mirror is a nice touch.

The sink is from WET. I believe the faucets were Hansgrohe.

It was a full house remodel, so unfortunately we don't have the breakdown for the bathroom.

Yes, the entire set up appears to be custom made especially since it fits between the walls :)

Hi Joan, appears to be Bamboo which comes as veneer or solid plywood.

It would be a custom piece that any good cabinet shop could make as long as they understand the mechanics of floating vanities. Happy to help create one to your specs. Just contact me :)

Mix up your lighting in the bathroom. Getting the lighting in bathrooms working effectively can be tricky. Usually a mix of several types of lighting will give the best result. Recessed lighting works well when illuminating the vanity area. Try using at least two gimbal downlights, fitted close to the mirror. Space them so that the light output from one overlaps the other’s. Tip: Lights exposed to moisture need to be rated accordingly. Make sure you’re using bulbs that are damp rated.Enhance your bathroom’s decor and style with a custom vanity

    15. A unique single long sink made this vanity worth bookmarking. The warm vanity matches the clean shelf underneath the mirror, and users the modern sconces give the room a cozy glow.
