Thats the grade of flooring and describes the traits such as knots, wormholes, mineral streaks, etc.

So you use no stain at all? Just a poly? Or a clear stain and then a satin poly?

Well at first it will be a bit overwhelming but after you complete a few boxes it becomes redundant. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of time on a full kitchen install. My team will traditionally spend two to three days doing and Ikea kitchen install. Good luck with your project!!

Thanks so much! This kitchen looks beautiful.

What did you use on top of the cabinets? 1 by 2"?? What Stain? It does not look like the Ikea trim I purchased?

We custom made the crown molding by cutting down the toe kick material you can purchase at IKEA. You can also use the 1x2 molding IKEA makes to use underneath the upper cabinets to hide under counter lighting. That trim actually has one square edge and one rounded edge if you want to soften the lines up a bit. Please do not hesitate to write should you have any further questions.

Hello - thanks for the inquiry. We sealed these floors with a satin water based poly made by Duraseal. I hope this helps you out!!

Hello Beth !! These floors are 2.25" #2 common red oak flooring with a water based clear coat applied to mitigate any yellowing in the future. Please do not hesitate to write should you have any further questions..

is the stain called #2 common red oak? We are using minwax so I was trying to pick a stain that will best match yours

Hello. This fridge is actually a commercial fridge made by a company called Star Appliances. My clients purchased this unit from a commercial restaurant supply company called ACE Mart in Dallas Texas. They can be found online. This particular fridge is quite large and we have actually recessed the fridge box about 12" into the garage to accommodate the depth of the unit. My clients love this unit but it did take some planning to make it fit into this kitchen. Have a great day!!

Can they open the left door of the fridge enough to get at the inside?

These tops are quartz made by ceaserstone. The color is concrete grey. You should be able to get them from any solid surface counter top provider in your area. My clients love these tops!!! They are supported by the cabinets as well as metal bracket we fabricated and installed prior to the top installation. Let me know should you have any further questions.

The molding on the cabinetry is made by IKEA and can be purchased while ordering the millwork. This is a very simplistic profile that measures about 1"x3". In regards to the other molding seen in the photo we used paint grade 1x4 s4s (smooth four sides ). Let me know if you have any further questions. Have a great day!!
  • Ryan Peterson
Were the 1x4's used at the top of the wall cabinets? Did you rip them down to 1x2's?

Hello - I'm sorry for the delayed response. Yes these floors are simply sanded, then we applied three coats of water based polyurethane in a satin finish. The flooring contractor did sand in between coats like the traditional stain and poly route.

Hello - This hood was purchased at IKEA right before they discontinued it. Unfortunately it is no longer available and they do not have a similar looking model. I'm sorry I could not be of any further assistance.

Hello. We actually built a very thin metal support system to support the large cantilever at the island top. Once the metal sub frame was installed we had the fabricators epoxy the stone straight to the metal support. If I can be of any other assistance please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks so much
