love the fireplace/chimney. Is that a textured paint or cladding?

steel cladding...'the modern craftsman', located in SLC created this beautiful patina using his technically honed skills to fashion the 'stargazer' effect on the metal panels. we wanted the largest breaks of metal he could make, which ended up relating to the proportions of the gas fire box.

The fireplace is vented. Its made by Montigo, Model #H42DF. It's look and price are both minimal and toasty.

Those are custom shelves fabricated by the same craftsman that did the cabinetry throughout the project. The beautiful color comes from the walnut from which they're made.

The floating shelves are a great look. Minimal and magic. I'm sure they'll look great in your family room.

Thank you for the quick response. Yes. i just recently purchased some floating shelves from West Elm for our Bar. Thank for letting me know on the finish of the wood. I love the walnut color. :)

My wife and I like the metal fireplace surround. Do you know the source of the metal?

  • PRO

This stunning fireplace surround was custom crafted and installed by Salt Lake City's Modern Craftsman. It's a sheet of steel that Tyler Blaine transformed using a special cocktail of oxidizers [and we're fairly certain a touch of the supernatural].
