I have similar height wainscoting....how did you attach the art with the trim that jets out at the top?

    Good tip Cynthia!

Cynthia's way is an ideal way but I'm usually a little less technical about this in my own home. I tend to install a small piece of wood an inch or so from the bottom of the frame on the back. It will still float out but it will consistently be floated on both the top and the bottom. When staging I'll sometimes just roll up a ball of painters tape and adhere it to the center of the picture back towards the bottom. No one will ever see it and it also keeps it consistently floated.

    Best Regards,

The top of the wainscoting could be picture rail and that is how those pictures are hung. Picture rail molding and hooks no plugs in the wall.
