well what is a person in the US (with a very small kitchen I might add) who needs this pullout counter/shelf to do! I see some shelves that hang down and prop out for sale, but that is all I have seen so far, ....until yours! I can design it in my head, but do not know how to make it... alas....

8. Pull out a chopping board. No more scrambling around in cupboards for a suitable surface to dice a carrot on. A handy pullout chopping board takes up less space than a butcher’s block but means you’re always prepared, whether you’re slicing a lemon for your drink or rustling up something more complicated. It also frees up counter space, which is always a boon. If you’re planning your kitchen from scratch, you could even install a pullout board with a compost bin underneath it so you can simply sweep the peelings away.

2. Work surface. One of the most challenging aspects of designing a small kitchen is ensuring that there’s a surface large enough for food prep. A neat solution is a pullout counter. Some of the models on the market consist of a runner system fitted below the existing work surface. This one is actually in the countertop and pulls out by the handle when needed.
