Cork maintenance is similar to hardwood. It should be cleaned the same way. With heavy furniture, you will see dents in the floor when furniture sits for a long time, however, cork has a certain amount of resilience, so eventually, the dents will fill in and disappear. I recommend sealing a cork floor (even pre-sealed) with a polyurethane, as it is prone to fading from direct sunlight.

I believe the wall color is Monroe Bisque (Benjamin Moore). The backsplash is the penny round tile from The Tile Shop.

This was a pre-sealed floor. However, a portion of it still faded in the sunlight and had to be replaced. So I do recommend sealing your cork floors after installation.

Pros of cork. Cork's antistatic surface makes it resistant to dust and toxin absorption, making it a great choice for people with allergies. Its soft, cushioned surface makes it a great flooring choice for those with knee problems or anyone who wants a little extra support. Cork's naturally antimicrobial and water-resistant attributes also help combat mold and mildew. More about cork flooring
