The exterior siding of this project are red cedar R&R [re-sawn and re-butted], which means that each shingle has be shaped to fit well together leaving minimal gaps between each shingle. It also produces a smoother shingle, which is less likely to curve offering a straight bottom edge.

The shingles brand are MYBEX shingles, which have been "dipped" to cover all surfaces of the shingles. This again will reduce any curl, since the back of the shingle has been painted. The shingles come in a variety of colors. I no longer have the records for the color, however, either through your builder or lumber supplier, you should be able to obtain a brochure of their standard colors.

Once the shingles where installed on this project, we had the painters come back to apply a second coat of solid body stain. This allowed for any exposed edges that were cut, as well as covering the nails which fastened the shingles to the exterior sidewall.

Thank you for your thorough response.....my question is more general...I have a lake lot that measures 80-85 feet across and 200 feet deep...I just wanted to see if House and
garage as shown in the picture would fit on my lot

The overall width is 90 feet. The overall depth is 100 feet.
The house can be modified to meet your life style, the views, and anticipated budget.
I generate my revenues based on design and consultation work.
Continuation on the future participation to assist in your project will need to be discussed.

Sorry for the delay, as I tried to find the proper information in the file. I could not find the specific color, but as I remember the product selection was a MAYBECK pre-finished r/r/ red cedar shingle. The term R/R represents the shingles were re-sawn and rebutted to minimize variations.

The project was completed late in 2007, which my records no longer exist for the color.
The subcontractor has mainly used Benjamin Moore brand paints.

My best suggestion is to select and print the best photo, then bring it to a B.M. dealer and purchase a small sample to confirm you are satisfied with the new B.M. color. You should paint various surface of you residence to view them at different times of the day.

I believe that a quart of paint will assist you in the selection of the color you desire.

We have utilized "overhead" type door for many years. They work as "normal" garage doors.

    The brand names such as
    http://artisandoorworks.com/,
    http://www.designerdoors.com/

and if you looking for a variety in style at a reasonable budget the "artisan series" from
http://artisandoorworks.com/ overhead garage doors is worth your review.

I do not have the specific information on file for this 2007 project.
I would suggest you visit the listed web sites, then contact your builder or local garage door subcontractor who will be able to review the anticipated size, the motor and tracking system for the garage door manufacture and style you select. Providing them type of door is just part of the cost.

The true cost will be able to be determined, based on the scope of work, and the available products in you area. Both the door cost with the track and motor, along with the labor cost will give you the total cost of the door.

Beautiful home, I noticed the gutters are full of leaves. I had a similar issue until I got Gutter Helmet installed on my MD home that has a similar cedar shake roof like this one.

The crown is set on a 5/4 stock AZEK trim board. The crown used is 11/16 X 3 5/8, which has a 1/2 AZEK top shelf for the copper cap. The shelf allows a full view of the crown's profile.

The shingles are a MAYBEC brand shingle, "pre-dipped" for color. However, I do not keep records for projects over two years, and do not have the color name or brand, I would suggest that you show the photograph to your builder and painter, who will be providing the work. The should be able to assist in the final color selection.

The project was completed late in 2007, which my records no longer exist for the product selections. My best suggestion is to select and print the best photo, then research the web for local decorators or lighting showrooms.

The lights are of a similar design to the fixtures mounted on either side of the entry door.

The wood shutters shown, were custom made by SEAPORT SHUTTERS in the State of Massachusetts. They have two locations, both owned by Peter Malone. Contact phone number is 508-653-5535. I do not have a web contact address.

Since completion of the project, I do not hold the records for more then a year, I believe you can go to your builder or call you local lumber yard to obtain a brochure on the colors available for the MIABEC brand shingle. This will allow you to obtain the best color selection for your project.

The exterior products are all original products. The exterior siding was bought as R/R [re-sawn and rebutted], red cedar shingles. The shingles were pre-drip by the manufacture to assure coverage on all surfaces. This also allowed any shrinkage in the real cedar shingles would not expose any unfinished surfaces between the shingles.
