What support did you need for the entire structure, did you need footings or just a slab. I have been wanting a set up like this for a while and would love any input you may have. Thank you in advance, and great job.

Do you use a kit for the inner piece of these? If so, from where?
  • amyjoseykora

What stone did you use for your fireplace?

Does the oven share the same chimney as the fireplace and if so, how does that work?

Most fireplaces and ovens, if built the traditional way, have independent chimneys. Fireplaces get rid of heat and ovens retain heat so they function exactly opposite. If you'd like to learn more please visit www.backuardflare.com. Thanks.

Both the rocker and the Lounger with ottoman came from Pier One - the Ciudad line. It wears very well throughout the seasons.

HI! - Yes! Walmart has a great selection of outdoor rugs - this particular one was the perfect color! The first of the season is coming up and I like to get there when new things come out. They also have unique umbrella colors/style choices. Early spring I always head in to peruse the new seasons' selection . . .

Wood-burning fireplace. Once it gets going, there truly is nothing else exactly like a roaring wood fire in a masonry fireplace. But as is the case with all wood-burning fires, one needs to consider possible spare-the-air days when wood fireplaces aren’t legally usable. These restrictions affect many of the most populated regions of the U.S. and around the world.A built-in wood-burning fireplace is likely to run around $10,000, though size, materials and geographic region can substantially impact the final cost. In some jurisdictions, the approval process for an exterior wood-burning fireplace is simpler than for gas, so it may be easier to plan and begin the construction of your wood-burning fireplace.A wood-burning fireplace usually takes about two weeks to construct.
