Mid-sized trendy backyard stamped concrete patio photo in Houston with a gazebo

Outdoor livingContemporary Patio, Houston

The pergola, above the uppermost horizontal 'strip' of cedar, is a bronze poly-carbonate, which allows light to come through, but which blocks UV rays and keeps out the rain. It's also available in clear, and a few more colors.

What is the top covering material? Thank you. Very nice!!

The top covering material is a bronze polycarbonate that blocks rain and UV rays. It's also available in clear, and a few more colors. However, the bronze helps to hide any debris/ leaves/ dirt, whilst still allowing you to see the sky, so we always recommend the bronze color to our clients.

The wood used is Western Red Cedar. The pergola, above the uppermost horizontal 'strip' of cedar, is a bronze poly-carbonate, which allows light to come through, but which blocks UV rays and keeps out the rain.

Without the furnishings, a pergola like this would cost between $15,000 and $20,000, depending on the size, and the detailing included (contouring on the edges, beveling on the detailing, etc), including the concrete foundation, flooring, and the cedar pergola.

    Hi Jennifer,

This light was from Arteriors Home, one of the many manufacturers that Crimson is a stocking dealer for. Unfortunately, this light is no longer available, but if you're looking for a fixture for a particular space, you can shoot over a picture and we can give you a couple suggestions. If it's going outside, it's important to ensure the fixture is 'damp rated', to withstand exterior conditions.

    Hello,

The largest horizontal rafters are roughly 12", by 18.5', by 4". The rafters above those, running vertically, are roughly 8", by 10', by 2". I hope that's helpful!

The decking material around the pool is a 24" square limestone tile (not paver thickness), called Desert Gold, from Israel, filled and honed, with a straight edge. The material works well, from a longevity perspective, with a chlorinated pool. However, I wouldn't recommend using limestone with a salt water pool, as the salt will gradually eat away at the limestone. There are several excellent manmade materials on the market now for pool decking, which will work with any type of pool chemical system, give a beautiful, clean look (some that even look like limestone), and which also come in options with added 'grip' to guard against slipping around the pool.

Is this pergola for sale as a kit? I am interested in it for a beach house located in CT.

      Hi,

The decking material is Israeli limestone. We do not recommend using limestone for saltwater pools, as it is more porous than many other natural materials. Thanks for your question!

      Hello,

These particular exterior sheers were purchased 'ready made' for our client online. We recommend searching for exterior sheer curtains online. There are many budget friendly options in a variety of colors, which usually give you the option to order and send back, if the color or size doesn't work.

If your space requires non standard size lengths and widths for these, they will need to be custom made, which we'd be happy to help with.

      Thanks for your question,

      The Crimson Team

What type of roofing was used?

        Chris,

Above the cedar beams, we installed a water proof bronze UV filter membrane. This filters the sun, allows light through, and because it's bronze vs clear, helps minimize the amount of any dust or debris collected here.

        Thanks,

        Crimson Team
