Like the back splash, and color of cabinets. Where can the back splash be found?

This was a custom stain which the cabinet manufacturer matched from a photograph we had of the color we sought.

The sculpture was part of the Parade home's staging. You might contact Chelsea Bandy Kloss, the interior designer, to see if she can help you. www.chelsearemy.com

The cabinets are a recycled material made to look like zebra-wood. They are made locally here in Austin by "Austin Wood Works". They are stained with a custom mixed color that was used to maximize the horizontal grain of the wood.

It is porcelain tile except for the horizontal bars which are stainless steel. All were purchased through Stone Solutions here in Austin, Texas.

9. Well-lit cabinetry. Homeowners won’t settle for just ceiling lights and table lamps to illuminate their kitchens. The two designers say extensive cabinet lighting is a trend to watch. “Low-voltage light tape strips are used as accent pieces below cabinets, above cabinets, inside cabinets and below countertop overhangs,” Drury says. “LED lights are the norm.” These features will be grouped with recessed can lights to offer better mood-setting capabilities.More Kitchen Confidential: 10 Ways to Promote Aging in Place | 7 Ways to Mix and Match Cabinet Colors | 11 Islands With Furniture Style | The Case for Corbels | All Good in the Hood

Lighting Secrets for Style and Function7. Provide task lighting. The primary purpose of undercabinet lighting is to illuminate the countertop, which in turn makes food preparation easier on the eyes. That’s why it’s known as task lighting. Always install the task light toward the front of the cabinet, not toward the back. If the light is stationed closer to the back wall, it primarily highlights the backsplash tile and not the counter, defeating the purpose of the light.
