I'm trying to decide between wood and fiberglass, and this fiberglass door looks great! Any tips on how to paint a fiberglass door? What is the best finish?

The sides of the home are the same as the front.....stucco below and horizontal siding above. Depending on the visibility of the sides, you could easily transition to all stucco on the sides if it's less expensive

Constructed with double layer of 8"x8"x16" CMU block and covered in stucco. it's 42" tall at the outside edge (along the street) and is seat height on the patio side (+18")

They were existing "city trees" located within the planter area. They may be magnolia trees but I'm not certain.

      7. Newport Beach, California. Every inch counts in the small front yard outside this contemporary beach home. The design maximizes outdoor living with a pair of fireside chairs turned to face out toward the sidewalk.

      5. A fire pit. It’s a surprise to see flames blazing above the wall of this California front yard.

Keep it neat with grass. Turf grass is a traditional material to use in these strips, and while it is a valid choice, it is not the only option. If you do decide to go with turf, be sure to keep it neat and edged, weed it regularly and don't allow it to become an eyesore. In some cases a well-maintained strip of turf can be the perfect foil to other front-yard landscaping, like the courtyard wall and pots in this example. Choose turf grass in this strip if it makes sense to your overall aesthetic, not because you lacked creativity when making the decision.Of course, many people are interested in low-maintenance alternatives to traditional lawns. Get some ideas for going lawnless here.

At dusk, when the interiors of a home are illuminated, dark window frames look striking against white walls.

Are the kids afraid to trick-or-treat at your house? Curb appeal continues from day into night. Make sure your front door and pathway are well lit with fixtures that coordinate with your architecture and color scheme. Extra enhancements on the home here also include the lights on the potted trees out front. A well-lit house also helps keep burglars away.
