People's Choice Award - Best Master SuiteContemporary Bedroom, Portland

The "Luster of the Pearl” combined the allure of clean lines and redefined traditional silhouettes with texture and opulence. The color palette was fashion-inspired with unexpected color combinations like smokey violet and tiger-eye gold backed with metallic and warm neutrals.

Our design included cosmetic reconstruction of the fireplace, mosaic tile improvements to the kitchen, artistic custom wall finishes, and introduced new materials to the Portland market.

For this look, the stripes also have a metallic stria look. So I would hire a local decorative painter, unless you want a flatter look in matte or gloss.

Believe it or not, Walmart in Canada sells a wallpaper that is very similar. I just papered my powder room with it and I love it.

The bed is a queen sized bed approximately 66" with bed frame. The art piece is approximately 70" wide x 30" tall. We commissioned the art for the space.

There are actually chocolate brown with a little bit of red undertone that looks purple in the photo. These were custom made by a workroom from fabric that we selected.

This is wallpaper, although the same look could be achieved with a decorative artist/finisher. The colors are chocolate and platinum. The wallpaper has been discontinued, but I have seen others that are very similar.

This room by a fellow Portland designer showcases what purple can really be when paired with the right silver tones and dark wood tones. A beautiful heathered purple and silver-striped wall covering creates the drama. Throw a little splash of spring green in the mix, and this master bedroom is one sophisticated room. Try Sherwin Williams Blackberry (SW7577) for a similar purple tone.
