Hi, we're located in Fairfax Va. I suggest you hire a local stone mason to install the concrete columns so its cost effective. Circle back if we can help

How far down does the steel beam go? Through the column into the concrete in the ground? Also does the steel beam connect at the top of pergola? We are building something like this and are unsure how to secure the columns. Thanks.

  • Ken Fuller

The steel column would connect at the top. Try Finehouse for plans. I purchaesd for $50 a few years back.

Interested in this pergola. Could you send dimensions and do you sell it in a kit and I have to have the brick columns built first? Joyce Nall 661 Constanza Dr, Henderson, Ky 42420

What a beautiful seating area ! Complete with multiple flat screens ;-)

To add some warmth for those seated around as well as WOW to the fire pit, consider adding our Artistic Steel Logs. A new and very unique custom solution for gas fire pits and outdoor fireplaces.

Take a look at these images and feel free to visit our website/Houzz for more info/pics. I am showing you our Collapsed Stack (lower profile) design so that the view of the pool from the seating area would not be compromised.

    Crape Myrtles. Best of luck
  • Ken Fuller

Do yourself a favor ad do not plant crepe mytles that close. Your pull will constantly need cleaning from the seeds.

Neither are painted. The columns are natural precast stone and the wood is cedar.

Pergola built over existing pool deck

On the right path. Fire pit, pergola, TV viewing from pool or seating area. TVs need to be protected and more discrete. Want fans. With landscaping. Too many columns - plenty of those already

Ok deck material, MVR covered area. Are small stone pedestals and then columns a way to save $$$ if necessary?
