The layout of this bathroom was reconfigured by locating the new tub on the rear wall, and putting the toilet on the left of the vanity.

The wall on the left of the existing vanity was taken out.

    Hi Bathroom Rackers,

This floor is a wood looking porcelain tile from Dal Tile. It is part of the Terrace Collection and the color is Willow. The planks are 6" x 36".

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    Hi there
I love this bathroom look. I wondered if you could help me with the mosaic tiles, brand and shade as everything I’ve found to date is quite shiny.
    Thank you

    Hi rubiota22,

As long as you don't use a rain showerhead that comes from the ceiling, you will be okay. It will be more important to make sure the height of the shower screen is above where you would mount the shower head.

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    Hi Robin,

Unfortunately, we do not have an exact name for this color because we custom mix our colors on site. We use Benjamin Moore bath & spa formula in bathrooms because it has a really nice sheen as well as holds up against moisture. A similar color that Benjamin Moore has ready mixed is Blue Jean.

    Thanks for your inquiry.

    Hi J Fisch,

We custom mix our paints for each job using Benjamin Moore Allure which is great for bathrooms and areas with moisture. If you are looking for a ready mixed color that is similar, we would recomend 'Blue Jean'.

    Thank you for your inquiry,

Who is the MFG of the window? My contractor advises to only use a fixed window. He says windows that open will be damaged by the water.

    Hi raymcgarrigal,

We used a local manufacturer for the window called ASAP (we are based out of Oakland, CA). The only regulation on having a window in the shower is that the glass must be tempered.

    Thanks for your inquiry,

    Hi Mike,

This vanity is from a cabinet manufacturer called Holiday Kitchens. They are a semi-custom company and allow you to choose the door style, finish, and configuration. This is a simple shaker door in a painted finish.

    Hi Beverley,

This is called a shower screen and is a 36" wide piece of glass that is hinged to the wall. If you wanted to take a bath, the screen can be opened 90 degrees to make the bath completely barrier free.

We use California Shower Doors and/or Bath Concepts for all of our shower or bath glass enclosures as well as installation. For the installation, you need to have backing behind the hinges. We also found that installation in very difficult if glass tiles are used since they crack when drilled for the hinges.

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    Hi Maria Gaizo-Clinton,

The grout used on the floor is Custom Building Products Winter Gray #335. This grout comes both sanded and non-sanded so be sure to ask your tile setter which they recommend as it varies on the installation.

    Thank you for you inquiry.

    Hi Sean Tat,

The subway tiles in this shower are the standard 3" x 6" size in white gloss. We purchase these from a local company in Berkeley, CA called 'Tile Shop'. The collection is Manhattan and it offers 2" x 9", 3" x 6", 4" x 8" sizes in white and cream color with either a gloss or matte finish.

    Hi,

As you can see, we used a white marble countertop on this bathroom to match the cabinet, tiles and tub. You can also use a dark (warmer tone) countertop to harmonize with the beige color, or you can use a fun color like Blue, since colors white and beige are neutral.

    Thanks for your inquiry!

    Hi jewelr0,

The minimum distance between the centerline of the toilet and the vanity is 15". Bath industry recommends 18", so there's more room.

    Hi pholloway,

This bathroom is similar to yours as it is off of a hallway that has natural oak flooring. When you have a hardwood that butts into a tile, the tile is usually a little thicker due to the backer board it sits on. Generally, we will use a transition piece that matches the wood flooring, so in this instance it was oak.

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    Hi Barbara,

The dimensions of this bathroom are 72 1/2" W x 106 1/2" L. We were able to fit a 36" x 72" tub which is a really nice size for a guest bath. If you went with a smaller tub, you would be able to fit a larger vanity if you were short on storage.

    Thank you for your question.

    Hi schmidzel,

The grout used was Custom Bright White #381. It is more of a true white versus having some cream tones. Grout is usually one of the last things that we have our clients pick and they usually end up picking something which disappears with the tile.
