it's certainly possible, and would be quite easy to do. issues are what type of steel you want to use. hot rolled (which has mill scale and creates a visual texture, I could send you a picture) or what's call P+O (pickled & oiled) which gets you a more consistent color and is what is on the wall in the photo you referenced. next would be size of the panel(s) and method of attachment to your wall. feel free to call me to discuss in greater detail if you want 206.632.0509

Thanks Company K. Unfortunately I am in the UK and budget constraints would render shipping somewhat prohibitive. I am so glad you said it's possible though, as I have had a lot of cautionary responses...I just adore the look of the panels you have created. I could stare at that wall all day and never tire of it. I am hoping to get my fireplace clad with metal too, so your pictures are really inspirational. Well done!

I did not manufacture the coffee tables you are asking about. those were provided by the interior designer's office,

aspengirl....your looking at around $50/ square foot depending on the method of attachment. we typically laminate the steel sheets to a plywood substrate with various methods to hang from a wall. this would have to be done in 2 pieces minimum. i looked thru a few of you idea books and found many pieces that i'd designed and fabricated for various architects - funny connection. let me know if you want more details or to discuss your project any further - jack/ company k

we made all of the panels specifically for this project. 11g P&O steel sheet laminated to a plywood substrate with a blackened steel patina $ paste wax finish. the panels were then hung on a steel tube frame substructure.
