Loosestrife, it's a sun loving perennial. It's very easy to grow.

That's right, this is Lythrum virgatum 'Dropmore Purple' It's often grown as a marginal though of course, tolerates a wide range of conditions.

I think its a Penstemon. 's may be Penstemon bridgesii
