Love this design! I have a tapering are - 4-6 feet of grass on the east side of my driveway. (buts up to a pasture) I've planted a Rising Sun Redbud tree for color and added Limelights, Natchez crape myrtles and Bridal Wreath Spirea. I'm thinking about filling under with mondo grass. Too large an area to weedeat and too small for the mower! :)

We are using Eleagnus espailier against the fence with a wired grid to allow it to climb. This photos was taken only a few weeks after it was planted. It will eventually cover the fence and provide a green backdrop to the garden. Thanks.

Alternative to grass in a larger space—maybe that sliver on the one side of the Pool?
