An overdyed rug in tones of charcoal grey and violet covers a walnut stained hardwood floor, setting the stage for the inventive use of purples and mixed metals found in this traditional living room.
Elegant gold accents abound. Sapphire blue and white striped silk draperies hang from silver rods affixed with gold rings that echo the gold frame of the sofa and marble cocktail table. The gold thread continues onto the side tables, whose mahogany stain adds depth and coordinates with the espresso frames of the lounge chairs, which have been upholstered in a lavender tone-on-tone floral.
Resting on the dark grey crushed velvet of the sofa are a pair of floral pillows in shades of white, grey, purple, and blue. These pillows partner with two flame stitched navy and turquoise pillows that are accented with a turquoise striped velvet. Adding additional watery blue are a pair of aqua porcelain lamps topped with crisp white shades. Light gray walls and ceiling are trimmed in white and provide the quiet canvas required to allow the room’s regal colors to reign supreme.

This primary bedroom blends soft blues with bold pops of color for a lively and layered look. Light blue painted walls serve as a serene backdrop for an off-white upholstered bed with layered bedding, including a blue coverlet, tan-and-white striped bolster, windowpane pillows, and hot pink bird-printed velvet pillows. Bright yellow velvet armchair, yellow-and-white drapery, and Roman shades add cheerful accents, while a light blue-and-white rug and white waterfall coffee table complete the space. Windows with crisp white trim allow natural light to brighten the room, creating a fresh and inviting atmosphere.

Dining in pure contemporary coastal style with a touch of rustic charm. This home was outdated, dark and uninviting. I combined a bright color palette with hues reminiscent of the ocean. This modestly sized dining room is open to the entry foyer and great room. The solid grey stained oak table has a curvaceous base. Upholstered dining chairs have easy care performance fabric and contrasting host chairs in teal velvet. Bold abstracted artwork mimics the pattern in the drapery fabric.

Light gray walls provide a neutral backdrop for this traditional dining room’s inventive use of color. Floral draperies in shades of navy, turquoise and robin’s egg blue are accented by a navy band and hang from gold metal rods with clear glass finials. The light grey ceiling is adorned with a hand-painted design in two-toned metallic gold. A corner cabinet has been given a fresh coat of white paint to match the trim, while the interior is painted aqua showcasing the blue and white porcelain and antiqued mirror accessories adorning the shelves.
This elegant space is a study in blues, from the wool rug bearing a floral pattern in shades of light blue, baby blue and navy to the lacquered dining chairs, which have been upholstered in a modern tone-on-tone geometric velvet along with a navy chenille and accented with black nickel nails. The dining table is stained deep espresso and given a high gloss finish. Gold metallic accents on the table provide a touch of glam befitting the crown jewel of the room - a chandelier of clear glass orbs dangling from a gold frame. A pot at the center of the table is filled with purple hydrangeas and greenery adding another lush layer to the decadent design.

Home office with modern flair. White furniture and walls lend a strong focus to the daring green moss accent wall. The sleek desk and chairs add to the overall modern effect of the room. A brilliant use of a small space, this home office is clean-cut and edgy.
