Designed using the ancient Chinese organizational principles of feng shui, this free-standing kitchen combines Zen-like calm with the convenience and performance of a professional kitchen. The concrete walls are painted in a color that’s light and soothing, while floors are bare and clean, save for cushioned mats placed in front of busy workspaces. The windows were acquired from a vacated building and adapted for residential use. In this large kitchen, designers concentrated a rangetop and two wall ovens into one cooking center. A warming shelf for plates is situated below the restaurant-style ventilation hood and above the rangetop for an added touch of convenience that enhances the cook’s serenity. The Asian minimalist aesthetic and commercial cooking equipment are given a warm feeling with the use of natural materials such as African zebrawood and live plants. This is a kitchen that truly reflects the spirit of yin and yang, in which harmony is achieved through opposing yet complementary forces.

This traditional kitchen features subtle pops of color and plenty of visual interest. The tile backsplash features decorative tiles that create visual interest and a focal point for the kitchen. The vent hood enhances the visual appeal in the space by using texture and complementary colors that are seen throughout the traditional kitchen.

The large overstated raised section of the island along with the "Bocci" style lighting above deliver extra seating as well as a well lit buffet area during large, usually catered events while also providing a focal point for the room.

But it usually is left at 2-4 feet as a mounded shrub. It has egg-shaped leaves that measure to 1-2.5 inches long and 1-1.75 inches wide. They can vary in colour, such as dark green, green-gold, or green-white. Blue Star Juniper This is a needled shrub and is a member of the cypress family. It is native to the Himalayas, Afghanistan, and western China. You might also know it as flaky juniper, Himalayan juniper, or singleseed juniper. This is a dwarf shrub and when it gets to a mature size, it is a compact mound measuring from 1-3 feet high and 1.5-3 feet wide. It grows slow and has a tendency to grow out and not up.
