This early 20th century Poppleton Park home was originally 2548 sq ft. with a small kitchen, nook, powder room and dining room on the first floor. The second floor included a single full bath and 3 bedrooms. The client expressed a need for about 1500 additional square feet added to the basement, first floor and second floor. In order to create a fluid addition that seamlessly attached to this home, we tore down the original one car garage, nook and powder room. The addition was added off the northern portion of the home, which allowed for a side entry garage. Plus, a small addition on the Eastern portion of the home enlarged the kitchen, nook and added an exterior covered porch.
Special features of the interior first floor include a beautiful new custom kitchen with island seating, stone countertops, commercial appliances, large nook/gathering with French doors to the covered porch, mud and powder room off of the new four car garage. Most of the 2nd floor was allocated to the master suite. This beautiful new area has views of the park and includes a luxurious master bath with free standing tub and walk-in shower, along with a 2nd floor custom laundry room!
Attention to detail on the exterior was essential to keeping the charm and character of the home. The brick façade from the front view was mimicked along the garage elevation. A small copper cap above the garage doors and 6” half-round copper gutters finish the look.

The architecture of this mid-century ranch in Portland’s West Hills oozes modernism’s core values. We wanted to focus on areas of the home that didn’t maximize the architectural beauty. The Client—a family of three, with Lucy the Great Dane, wanted to improve what was existing and update the kitchen and Jack and Jill Bathrooms, add some cool storage solutions and generally revamp the house.
We totally reimagined the entry to provide a “wow” moment for all to enjoy whilst entering the property. A giant pivot door was used to replace the dated solid wood door and side light.
We designed and built new open cabinetry in the kitchen allowing for more light in what was a dark spot. The kitchen got a makeover by reconfiguring the key elements and new concrete flooring, new stove, hood, bar, counter top, and a new lighting plan.
Our work on the Humphrey House was featured in Dwell Magazine.

The built-in computer desk features a place for the CPU, files and office accessories. The curved mullions on the upper doors add a sophisticated look and a portal to the walnut interior that is lit with LED tape lighting on the back side of the face frame.
Marble subway tile brightens the working area that is also lit with LED lighting.

This first floor bathroom renovation in a lovely historic Tudor, built in 1921, boasts character with its soft pink hue and delicate details. Copper Sky Design + Remodel took great care to maintain the original charm of this gorgeous home. The regal cast iron clawfoot tub is reminiscent of the time period the original home was built. Personality abounds in this small bathroom as the polished nickel fixtures offer a perfect complement to the pink and white tile and wallpaper used throughout.

Project Scope: Full Home Reno + Full Home Furnishings
The Marsh Edge Escape was a full renovation from top to bottom. The goal being to bring the outside in while creating a modern, minimal, sophisticated home for this well traveled art enthusiastic couple to relax and unwind. We sourced specialty materials like Moroccan zellige tile for the backsplash and hood to create a refined yet relaxed feeling throughout. This retreat is full of vintage finds like the coral stone entryway table and egret legged side table that pairs perfectly with the couples extensive art collection.

We joined forces with JHL Design’s Holly Freres and Liz Morgan to transform a dark and dated Pearl District penthouse into an elegant and timeless home. The space was designed with European metropolitan interiors in mind, giving it the “Parisian Modern” look the clients desired.
The team replaced cherry casework and red and ochre walls with clean white and neutral shades to brighten the space. The new applied wood paneling serves as an interesting architectural detail while modern fixtures and furniture keep it from feeling too traditional. The project also included new casework, new wood floors and carpet, new terrazzo countertops, new vanity and plumbing fixtures, and reworked cabinetry in the kitchen and pantry.
