The hillside garden responds to movement of the wind, flow of the water and warmth of the sun with an artful integration of storm water management practices. Rhythmic landforms and a grassy swale slow stormwater flow, allowing it to percolate into the ground and divert it away from the house. The meandering path and sitting area nestle in a warm pallet of colors maximizing the use of the side property and views of the San Francisco Bay. Inspiration for a coastal living room remodel in Philadelphia with beige walls and a standard fireplace

Salt Interiors custom joinery was featured in the August issue of House & Garden Magazine. For this project, Salt Interiors worked with Senior Interior Designer for Coco Republic, Natasha Levak to provide custom joinery for the 1930s Spanish-revival home. Levak’s vision for a neutral palette helped to determine the polyurethane paint for the renovated joinery unit Salt installed in the room.

The timber-framed stone pool house with kitchen and full bath provides year round activity and entertainment, features a six-foot masonry fireplace, and visually connects to a timber-framed barn accessory structure. Mounted above the stone fireplace designed by Purple Cherry Architects, are Indonesian Medan masks. The unique African sculpture in the right corner was crafted from a hollowed tree trunk and uses natural materials to create the facial features. This indoor pool is truly a stunning space.
