While the Den was originally designed to transition to the Screened Porch by only a bank of windows and a single door, we made the decision to remove the entire wall and in its place install a grand set of six glass sliding doors which gives not only a greater connection with the outdoors but also the flexibility of opening the two spaces to each other during the warmer months. The concept for the heart of the home begins with a monochromatic color scheme comproised of soft, warm neutrals covering comfortable timeless furnishings all contrasted by vibrant hues of kelly green with splashes of a sunny yellow. The earth textures emerge from a dark, hand scraped wood floor grounding the space for the layering on top of natural linens and cottons of the seating, a sisal rug under foor, raw wood found over head in lighting and solid oak beams with a focal point of a cast limestone fireplace all creating a timeless environment for the family's taste to evolve over the many years to come.

Natural light filters into the bathroom, enhancing the bright and airy feel. The flooring appears to be a modern tile, complementing the overall aesthetic. A touch of nature is introduced with a lush potted plant, adding a refreshing element to the space.

Thse clients came to me for a kitchen refresh. Keeping the existing floor plan but updating as much as possible. After explaining my thoughts, they chose to go with a much larger project. The wall to the garage wash pushed bach 12" to allow for the island to happen. This almost couldn't happen as there is a support post in the garage we had to keep. I designed the last pantry area as on 10" deep, allowing us to conceal that behind the cabinets. Then, we opend up the wall to the dining room to make the rooms one large space. The wall to the family room was also openend up, leaving the half wall to allow for the kitchen eating area. They wanted to incorporate a bar area, without it feeling like a "bar" The fabulous tall custom unit houses their wine collection and then half of the dining room buffet area holds glassware and other bar items. I helped the clients with all of the design choices. We all wanted to keep the space classic, war, functional and with mixed materials. I chose to use the same countertop material for the backsplash, to keep the space feeling as large as possible.

This outdoor area was designed to function as a mecca for all things fun for this family! There are two wicker "egg" chairs with upholstered seats, a funky blue bar cart, a sectional and outdoor kitchen, and a deck dining area that can be closed with fabric panels!

The Kensington's home bar is a stylish and sophisticated space for entertaining guests and enjoying drinks. The bar features a variety of alcohol bottles beautifully displayed. The golden faucet and glasses add a touch of elegance and glamour. The golden hardware on the cabinets adds a luxurious accent. The gray tiles and grey countertop create a sleek and modern look. The hardwood floor adds warmth and richness to the space. Open cabinets provide easy access to glassware and other bar essentials. Potted plants bring a natural and refreshing touch. A stainless steel beverage cooler keeps drinks chilled and readily available. An undermount sink offers convenience for cleaning and preparation. White cabinets and trims contribute to the clean and bright atmosphere of the bar. The white walls provide a neutral backdrop, allowing the other elements to stand out. The Kensington's home bar is a perfect spot for enjoying cocktails and creating a stylish ambiance for socializing.

For a spring soiree, I used my vintage trolley (originally from an old shoe factory) as a serving cart for drinks and dessert. Since I don't have a separate dining room, it was a quick and easy way to roll in the party!
