Complete renovation of Aquatic Park penthouse located atop a concrete high-rise. The project involved complex considerations relating to the mobilization of materials and the impact to building residents. The original 4 bedroom and 4 bath penthouse was transformed into an open floor plan to take advantage of the views on both the north and south sides of the unit. Modern finishes include book-matched walnut cabinetry, live edge walnut slab countertops, steel and walnut bookcases, hand made mosaic tiled walls, gun blued steel and etched 1/2" glass.

This project included a two-story addition with a kitchen/dining area on the first floor and bedroom/bathroom on the second floor. The house is located on a gently sloping site surrounded by woods and meadows. The kitchen features grey lower cabinetry and white upper cabinetry with a subtle, rounded board and batten backsplash. The dining area features a large picture window flanked by double hungs that look out over the meadow. The upstairs bathroom shares a tub/shower with another bathroom in Jack-n-Jill fashion. Phase II will include first and second floor renovations and an expansive rear deck and stone terrace.

This charming modern farmhouse is located in Ada, MI. It has white board and batten siding with a light stone base and black windows and eaves. The complex roof (hipped dormer and cupola over the garage, barrel vault front entry, shed roofs, flared eaves and two jerkinheads, aka: clipped gable) was carefully designed and balanced to meet the clients wishes and to be compatible with the neighborhood style that was predominantly French Country.

Located in the Cornfield Point area of Old Saybrook along Long Island Sound, this project brought a classic, yet forgotten beach house back to life. Through a little detective work and some creative ingenuity, we restored and enhanced the exterior to it’s former glory and transformed the interior to a highly efficient and functional home all the while uplifting its quaint cottage charm. On the exterior, we recreated a wonderful, airy front porch with cozy bench seats that look out to the water. The white cedar shingle siding is pre-bleached with a subtle flair at the bottom and a delicate break at mid-elevation. The asphalt shingles are not only beautifully matched with the siding, but offer superior reflective qualities to dissipate the heat of the summer sun. On the interior, we joined the front seasonal porch with the family room to form a larger, open living and dining space with paneled walls and ceilings anchored by the original round stone fireplace. In the rear, we carefully crafted a galley kitchen and laundry space with an adjacent first floor master suite. The diminutive house and property posed multiple practical and regulatory challenges which were overcome by a strong team effort, due diligence, and a commitment to the process.

Miami modern Interior Design.
Miami Home Décor magazine Publishes one of our contemporary Projects in Miami Beach Bath Club and they said:
TAILOR MADE FOR A PERFECT FIT
SOFT COLORS AND A CAREFUL MIX OF STYLES TRANSFORM A NORTH MIAMI BEACH CONDOMINIUM INTO A CUSTOM RETREAT FOR ONE YOUNG FAMILY. ....
…..The couple gave Corredor free reign with the interior scheme.
And the designer responded with quiet restraint, infusing the home with a palette of pale greens, creams and beiges that echo the beachfront outside…. The use of texture on walls, furnishings and fabrics, along with unexpected accents of deep orange, add a cozy feel to the open layout. “I used splashes of orange because it’s a favorite color of mine and of my clients’,” she says. “It’s a hue that lends itself to warmth and energy — this house has a lot of warmth and energy, just like the owners.”
With a nod to the family’s South American heritage, a large, wood architectural element greets visitors
as soon as they step off the elevator.
The jigsaw design — pieces of cherry wood that fit together like a puzzle — is a work of art in itself. Visible from nearly every room, this central nucleus not only adds warmth and character, but also, acts as a divider between the formal living room and family room…..

The new owners of this West Village Manhattan townhouse knew that gutting an historically significant building would be a complex undertaking. They were admirers of Turett's townhouse renovations elsewhere in the neighborhood and brought his team on board to convert the multi-unit structure into a single family home. Turett's team had extensive experience with Landmarks, and worked closely with preservationists to anticipate the special needs of the protected facade.
The TCA team met with the city's Excavation Unit, city-appointed archeologists, preservationists, Community Boards, and neighbors to bring the owner's original vision - a peaceful home on a tree-line street - to life. Turett worked with adjacent homeowners to achieve a planted rear-yard design that satisfied all interested parties, and brought an impressive array of engineers and consultants aboard to help guarantee a safe process.
Turett worked with the owners to design a light-filled house, with landscaped yard and terraces, a music parlor, a skylit gym with pool, and every amenity. The final designs include Turett's signature tour-de-force stairs; sectional invention creating overlapping volumes of space; a dramatic triple-height steel-and-glass elevation; extraordinary acoustical and thermal insulation as part of a highly energy efficient envelope.

In the living room, a white Perennials upholstered sofa with large chevron patterned chartreuse pillows accompanied by a mod needlepoint Jonathan Adler pillow sits next to graphic patterned black and white barrel-back swivel chairs covered in outdoor fabric, and a white modern coffee table rests on a striped black and white rug. A large spherical white pendant light fixture from the 1970s is suspended above it all. More color was added to the room with the yellow media cabinet and the bright abstract painting hung above it.
