Parlour & Palm
We were so honored to design this minimal, bright, and peaceful animal-themed nursery for a couple expecting their first baby! It warms our hearts to think of all of the cozy and sweet (and sleepless!) moments that will happen in this room. - Interior design & styling by Parlour & Palm - Photos by Misha Cohen Photography

Curated Nest
This nursery began in an empty white-box room with incredible natural light, the challenge being to give it warmth and add multi-functionality. Through floral motifs and hints of gold, we created a boho glam room perfect for a little girl. We played with texture to give depth to the soft color palette. The upholstered crib is convertible to a toddler bed, and the daybed can serve as a twin bed, offering a nursery that can grow with baby. The changing table doubles as a dresser, while the hanging canopy play area serves as a perfect play and reading nook.

To personalize the newborn's sleeping area the babies name was painted on the wall using metallic paint pens. This common detail of in a nursery could have been done with store bought wooden letters or pre-existing decal lettering. Instead, considering the position near the cityscape mural and under the starry mobile sky the lettering was custom designed and presented as if it is skywriting.
Cityscape Mural Stencil- NOW available for purchased on our website for $125
Includes: Set of 12 individual paper stencil buildings. Each needs to be cut out prior to tracing on the wall. Each stencil has a dashed line to follow and basic instructions for application. You can use one or all of the buildings together to create the gray skyline you see here.
We are developing a video tutorial, in the meantime we provide basic written instruction.

A beautiful french farmhouse inspired nursery for boy and girl twins. Very small space meant we had to get creative with the arrangement of the furniture. We added custom designed crib bedding sets- one with lavender gingham trim for the girl and blue gingham trim for the boy. Custom made monogram ovals mark the spot over each baby's crib. Add a soft sheepskin rug to anchor the cribs and you've got a warm and elegant nursery for both genders. Custom painted tree mural by designer, Sherri Blum.

Check out our latest nursery room project for lifestyle influencer Dani Austin. Art deco meets Palm Springs baby! This room is full of whimsy and charm. Soft plush velvet, a feathery chandelier, and pale nit rug add loads of texture to this room. We could not be more in love with how it turned out!

A long-term client was expecting her third child. Alas, this meant that baby number two was getting booted from the coveted nursery as his sister before him had. The most convenient room in the house for the son, was dad’s home office, and dad would be relocated into the garage carriage house.
For the new bedroom, mom requested a bold, colorful space with a truck theme.
The existing office had no door and was located at the end of a long dark hallway that had been painted black by the last homeowners. First order of business was to lighten the hall and create a wall space for functioning doors. The awkward architecture of the room with 3 alcove windows, slanted ceilings and built-in bookcases proved an inconvenient location for furniture placement. We opted to place the bed close the wall so the two-year-old wouldn’t fall out. The solid wood bed and nightstand were constructed in the US and painted in vibrant shades to match the bedding and roman shades. The amazing irregular wall stripes were inherited from the previous homeowner but were also black and proved too dark for a toddler. Both myself and the client loved them and decided to have them re-painted in a daring blue. The daring fabric used on the windows counter- balance the wall stripes.
Window seats and a built-in toy storage were constructed to make use of the alcove windows. Now, the room is not only fun and bright, but functional.
