Inspiration for a transitional formal and enclosed dark wood floor living room remodel in San Francisco with white walls, a brick fireplace and a standard fireplace

Designed by Malia Schultheis and built by Tru Form Tiny. This Tiny Home features Blue stained pine for the ceiling, pine wall boards in white, custom barn door, custom steel work throughout, and modern minimalist window trim. The Cabinetry is Maple with stainless steel countertop and hardware. The backsplash is a glass and stone mix. It only has a 2 burner cook top and no oven. The washer/ drier combo is in the kitchen area. Open shelving was installed to maintain an open feel.

This remodel of a mid century gem is located in the town of Lincoln, MA a hot bed of modernist homes inspired by Gropius’ own house built nearby in the 1940’s. By the time the house was built, modernism had evolved from the Gropius era, to incorporate the rural vibe of Lincoln with spectacular exposed wooden beams and deep overhangs. The design rejects the traditional New England house with its enclosing wall and inward posture. Kitchen - traditional kitchen idea in Philadelphia with wood countertops, raised-panel cabinets and blue cabinets

Lanai and laundry room addition - Winter Park, FL. This project added a lanai to an existing house where previously only a small exterior door overhang existed. A 12' x 8' opening was created to acomodate new exterior French doors in lieu of the existing wall and small windows. These doors are birch with Sikkens ebony gel stain. The lanai ceiling is painted pine tounge and groove with custom wood beams. Lanai flooring is a sand set concrete paver. The summer kitchen includes custome custom built stained cypress cabinets with polished concrete countertops. The summer kitchen appliances include DCS 30" grill, sideburner, undercabinet refrigerator and hood. The lanai columns and beams were custom created to acomodate hidded motorized screens. Laundry room addition included custom barn door style rolling door.

A vintage, salvaged wood door replaced the original and was painted a bright blue to match the beadboard porch ceiling. The fresh color happily welcomes you home every day. Photography by Josh Vick

Continuing the lines of the existing wrap-around porch, we were able to create a family kitchen with a raised ceiling culminating in a large skylight. Before Siemasko + Verbridge got their hands on this house, it was a convoluted maze of small rooms and skinny hallways. The renovation made sense of the layout, and took full advantage of the captivating ocean views. The result is a harmonious blend of contemporary style with classic and sophisticated elements. This beautiful kitchen was made using native Colorado Beetle Kill Pine with blue painted rustic knotty alder accent pieces. Matching integrated refrigerator panels. European frameless construction method.

The loft-style camphouse bed was planned and built by Henry Kate Design Co. staff. (The one it was modeled after wasn't going to fit on the wall, so we reverse-engineered it and did it ourselves!)

Our Antique Beam Sawn flooring in random widths from 2.5"-6.5". The flooring was stained with 1 part Bona "medium brown" and one part Bona "natural". Then three clear coats of "Bona naturale" to finish. This gorgeous house overlooks Lake Michigan.
